Online Course with Suzette Hosken from Jade Lady Tai Chi and Qigong
Take the next step in your tai chi journey by learning the Standardised Yang Tai Chi 24-Form. This step-by-step course is designed for students with some prior tai chi experience who want to develop their understanding and improve the accuracy, structure and flow of their practice. The 24-Form is one of the most widely practised tai chi forms in the world, making it a valuable form to learn whether you practise independently or intend to join a tai chi class.
Developed in China in 1956, the 24-Form is a shortened and simplified version of traditional Yang Style Tai Chi, drawing on movements from the traditional Yang family form. While the traditional form can take considerably longer to perform, the 24-Form can be completed in around 4–6 minutes, making it practical to learn and incorporate into regular practice. This course focuses on the standardised method of performing the form, with detailed and precise instruction to help you understand not only what to do, but how to do it well. With regular practice, the 24-Form can become a rewarding foundation for developing your tai chi skills and understanding.
This is one of my publicly available videos on YouTube which will give you an idea of my teaching style.

This course is designed for students with some previous tai chi experience. You do not need to be an advanced tai chi practitioner, but you should have experience learning a tai chi form and be comfortable following and practising a sequence of movements independently. It is recommended that you have first learnt a shorter form, such as the Yang Tai Chi 10-Form. If you are new to tai chi, my Tai Chi and Qigong Foundations for Beginners course is an ideal place to start.
Although the Tai Chi 24-Form is a simplified form, it is not a simple form to learn. It is a significant step up from shorter beginner forms and requires patience, regular practice and attention to detail. The course is particularly useful for students who have already learnt the 24-Form in person and would like to refine their movements and deepen their understanding.
